Crowns and bridges are dental solutions used to restore or replace teeth.

What are crowns?

A crown is a type of cap that is placed over a damaged or weakened tooth. This may be necessary if the tooth has been badly affected by cavities, fractures or after a root canal treatmentThe purpose of a crown is to protect the tooth, restore its function and improve aesthetics.

The dentist will prepare the affected tooth by filing it down to fit the crown. A scan (formerly known as an impression) of the tooth will be made to create a custom-made crown. The final crown will be placed on the tooth with special adhesive.

With us you can come for crowns in 1 day. You come in the morning or early afternoon for the treatment and the crown can be placed the same day! There is no need for a temporary crown. A CEREC crown is a type of dental crown that is manufactured quickly and efficiently using computer-aided technology.

Unlike traditional crowns, which often require multiple appointments, a CEREC crown can be made in a single appointment. After the tooth is prepared, a digital impression is taken and the crown can be fabricated in a matter of hours.

The dentist uses a special scanner to make a digital impression of the tooth and dentition. This scan is then used to design the crown in a computer program.
CEREC crowns are usually made of high-quality ceramic material, which provides a natural look and good strength. This material is also biocompatible, which means it is safe for use in the mouth.

The digital impression and design often make the fit of the crown very precise, which provides greater comfort and better functionality.

What are bridges?

A bridge is a restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. It consists of one or more artificial teeth (pontics) that are attached to the adjacent teeth (the abutments), which are often treated with crowns.
Crowns and bridges help save, protect and (in the case of a bridge) replace damaged teeth. They restore the appearance and function of the teeth. Both treatments are valuable options for maintaining or improving oral health. It is always a good idea to discuss with your dentist which option is best for your situation.
